GÉANT AUX SOULIERS ROSES…

Nous sortons à peine de notre rendez-vous au Secrétariat D’Adoption (SDA). Plusieurs fiches d’enfants nous ont été présentés : Syndrome d’Alcoolisme Fœtal; troubles avec les reins; retard mental; etc... La dernière fiche concernait « un p’tit joueur de rugby », nommé Nikita et âgé de 2 ans ½. Il a les cheveux foncés et les yeux bleus. Sa santé serait bonne selon le SDA. Cependant, il aurait un p`tit trou au cœur???? Nous quitterons dimanche soir pour Odessa afin de le rencontrer lundi. Le médecin quand à lui arrivera lundi en après-midi. Pour l'instant nous allons en profiter pour visiter Kiev et prendre quelques photos.

A GIANT WITH PINK SLIPPERS...

We are just out of our first meeting with the Adoption Department (SDA). Several files of children were presented to us. All of them to the exeption of one were sick kids (F.A.S.; Kidney troubles; Mental retardness, etc...) They exeption is a little 2½ year old boy named Nikita. He looks much more like a Rugby player than a kong fu fighter...I hope he won't tackle me on first sight...lol. According to the SDA, his health is supposely good but he might have a little hole to the heart. He is located in Odessa, southern tip of Ukraine on the coast of the Black Sea. We are leaving Sunday. After an overnight sleep in the train we should be able to visit him on monday morning and with the Doctor in the afternoon. For now we will take the few days left to visit Kiev and its wonders...
